Wetland of Rajasthan: Sambhar Salt Lake crying due to bore well mafia - Abhishek Kadyan

The Convention on Wetlands, signed in Ramsar, Iran, in 1971 but wetland of Rajasthan, Sambhar Salt Lake dying day by day, natural habitat of Flamingo birds has been encroached, Rajasthan Lakes (Protection and Development) Authority Act, 2015 along with the  Wetlands (Conservation and Management) Rules, 2010 and Environment Protection Act, 1986 also needs immediate attention for strict compliance.

1. Police Station for Sambhar Salt Lake area.


2. Removal of all unlawful bore wells along with illegal electric connections.


3. Strict compliance of the Kapoor Committee Report.


4. Strict compliance of article 51 A (g) of Indian Constitution.


5. National Wetland Conservation Programme (NWCP), Ramsar Convention on Wetland needs to be enforced for Sambhar Salt Lake.


6. Para Military Forces be deputed, to protect the Wetland of Rajasthan.
