Chinese mining company ZiJin exploits copper mines in Bor, Serbia. Employees have been poisoned recently, but Serbian authorities keep protecting the Chinese company at the cost of lives of local inhabitants and employees by silencing any whistleblowing attempt.

Numerous cases of uncontrolled bleeding at the workplace with worrying blood lead levels ranging from 50 to 250 mmg/L suggest that safety of employees and inhabitants of Bor is at stake. There is evidence that ZiJin's facility has put prohibited concentrations of hazardous waste back into production, which is an act of heavy violation of the laws of Republic of Serbia. Nevertheless, an employee who tried to report the cases has been threatened.

Please, help raise international attention to this severe crime against basic human rights in Bor region by ZiJin Mining.
