A Dog Groomer Slammed Milo Until He Blacked Out. Demand Justice.

Milo, a 14-pound senior rat terrier, was dropped off at a dog daycare and grooming facility in Mount Kisco, New York, trusting the staff to care for him the way his family always had. Instead, video captured an employee violently slamming Milo onto a grooming table during a nail trim. Milo lost consciousness. When Milo came home, his family noticed he wasn't walking properly, sleeping constantly, and refusing to eat. A veterinarian later found bruising across his entire torso, clear signs of recent, serious trauma.

Sign the petition urging the Westchester District Attorney's Office to pursue a lifetime ban on animal ownership and mandatory mental health counseling, and calling on Dogtopia to strengthen its screening and oversight so no other dog suffers the same fate.

The grooming facility says it terminated the employee and contacted law enforcement once the footage came to light, and that is a start. But Milo's injuries happened inside a facility built entirely around the promise of safety and care, and that promise failed him. Families trust these businesses with animals who cannot speak up for themselves, which means real accountability has to go beyond firing one employee after the fact. Stronger screening, better oversight, and real consequences are what prevent the next dog from enduring what Milo did.

Someone capable of this kind of violence against a small, defenseless senior dog should never be allowed near another animal again. A lifetime ban on animal ownership, paired with mandatory mental health counseling, addresses both accountability and the root of what led to this moment, while Dogtopia must take real steps to ensure no dog in its care is ever left this vulnerable again.

Milo trusted the people who were supposed to protect him.

Sign the petition and demand accountability from both the person responsible and the business that failed to protect him.
