He Held This Cat by Her Head and Legs, Stretching Her Until She Died. Justice for Kitty!

The residential, tree-dense neighborhood of Woodhaven, Queens is described as having a small-town feel; a family-friendly environment, wide array of businesses, and beautiful display of historic homes make it a wonderful place to live.

But for one woman, Woodhaven became the setting of a waking nightmare when her ex-boyfriend attacked her cat.

This attack was more brutal than you can imagine. The cat's injuries included a smashed skull, missing teeth, a burst eyeball, "her head internally severed from her spine," 24 broken ribs, "a torn artery leading to her heart; torn or lacerated liver, spleen, kidneys, and diaphragm, and a shattered pelvis, with both hind legs fractured."

Clearly, this man is beyond a threat to animal and human life.

It all started when this woman and her ex-boyfriend were in her home -- he became very intoxicated, and refused to leave the residence. He violently grabbed at the woman, which is when she fled and called a relative to ask for help.

When she and her relative returned to her home, they witnessed the unthinkable.

There was blood and vomit everywhere. Her ex-boyfriend had her cat in his hands. He was holding the poor thing's head and back legs, and pulling -- stretching the poor thing's body into a horrific, torturous position.

The stretching resulted in an internal decapitation, and is likely the cause of death for the poor cat, named Kitty.

District Attorney Katz described this cat's fate as "one of the most gratuitously violent deaths" she had ever witnessed. That is why she must ensure that this man is handed down a sentence that ensures he never comes near or hurts another animal ever. Again.

Sign the petition to demand that District Attorney Melinda Katz sentence this man to mandatory mental health counseling and ban him from ever owning, living with, or interacting with a pet ever again!
