Don't Let African Grey Parrots Disappear: Demand Real Enforcement Now

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has just taken a historic step by granting full legal protection to African Grey Parrots, making it a crime to capture, kill, sell, or transport them. This is a huge win for one of the most intelligent and social bird species in the world, but it will mean nothing unless it is enforced.

Without strict enforcement, traffickers will continue exploiting loopholes. Without reducing demand, buyers will keep driving this cruelty. And without rehabilitation efforts, decimated parrot populations may never recover.

Sign the petition to demand this law be enforced and not become just words on paper!

African Grey Parrots have already suffered decades of trapping, smuggling, and habitat destruction. Once numbering in the hundreds of thousands, their populations have collapsed, with entire regions left silent. These parrots can live for nearly a century and form deep social bonds, but instead of flying free, countless were stuffed into crates and shipped overseas to die in the exotic pet trade.

Sign the petition now to demand that the DRC not only enforce its new ban but also crack down on traffickers and curb demand for these birds. If we act now, we can make this law a turning point, not just a promise.
