Demand Tim Hortons PAY to offer their clients the opportunity to leave employees TIP by card

I’m a regular Tim Hortons client and I am tired of not being able to tip the excellent employees when I pay by credit or debit card. Almost every other chain restaurant in Quebec offers this but not Tim’s! I’ve made « complaints » to several managers saying I don’t always have cash on me to tip and some have told me that the company says it would cost too much to implement this! According to my search: While individual locations vary, annual profits for franchise owners can range from roughly $84,000 to $280,000 based on operational efficiency, I think they can afford to add this option for customers so we can tip workers all the time. Based on 2024–2025 Bank of Canada data, approximately 80% of Canadians still carry some cash on hand. That is a minimum of 20% of clients that will not have cash to tip the workers + however more just do not have cash on them when they go to Tim! This is unacceptable!
