- by: Greg Carr
- recipient: 113th Congress of the United States & Barack Hussein Obama
Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 of the U.S. Constitution grants the power to declare war exclusively to the Congress of the United States.
44th President Barack H. Obama has exceeded his Executive Authority by deploying U.S. Military assets to Syria in support of the Free Syrian Army without Congressional approval.
This petition seeks to petition the government to redress the following grievances:
1. American support of FSA may result in the material support of terrorist individuals and organizations, in violation of: [18 USC 2339A- Providing material support to terrorists.]
2. American support of FSA may result in the facilitation of WMD acquisition by non-state actors, in violation of U.S. Federal and International Law.
3. American support of FSA may result in a strategic scenario in which Israel will be required to contend with an unstable, WMD-Armed, fundamentalist neighbor, necessitating preementive military action by IDF forces to contain imminent threats, potentially embroiling the United States in a protracted regional war requiring deployment of large scale, conventional military assets.
4. The American People and by extension the Congress of the United States have been denied the Constiutionally mandated authority to grant or deny the deployment of U.S. Military assets to a known theater of war.
