Demand Lindenwood University give an option to charge for $155 Activity fee!!!

Lindenwood University charges every student, regardless of participation, $155 PER semester as an "activity fee". This is said to be a charge for facilities such as the health center (work out room/gym). Many commuters who live off campus are being charged even though they do not use these facilities. This charge is in addition to tuition and lab fees. I want to help get these fees waived and a refund for students who have been charged this fee without use of the facilities.

I also want to make it so that you have to sign up for this activity fee. I, and many other students, have been charged over $600 in fees. Money out our pocket, money we have to pay interest on through our student loans. This is NOT right. Colleges and universities should not be allowed to charge such absurd fees, especially when students are struggling financially already!

In addition, I would like to end the full tuition that education majors have to pay when they do their student teaching. Not only is it extremely difficult for them to work while doing their student teaching, but they only attend one seminar class for 1 1/2 hours per week. They are out in the field and are being charged $5000 to not go to class, but to work a 40+ hour week for 16 weeks as a Teacher Candidate in a classroom.
