This petition is to spread awareness about child marriage that is happening in places like Niger, Chad, Bangladesh. Please sign the petition to help defeat child marriage because, children (girls) between the ages 5-17 are ending their lives because they are being forced to do things they do not want to do, for the husband that they were forced to marry. According to girlsnotbrides.org, "in Bangladesh, 47 percent of married girls have experienced partner violence." In some communities girls are married off because of poverty. Families may not have enough money to pay for basic necessities or to pay off their debts. In other communities some girls are married off because it is a traditional practice. These traditions should be changed if it affects a child negatively.
