Down With Prejudice Against China And Chinese Language Learners

WKU has had the Confucius Institute and Chinese Flagship Program since 2010. Recently, there has been prejudice about these programs and the students and teachers in them. People think we are all communists because we are deciding to learn Mandarin. Many people will lose their major if these close down, including me. I don't want them to close at all I want them to stay open. Mandarin is a very beautiful language with a rich history. China has the most recorded history on earth. Learning another language or about another country and its culture isn't going to kill anyone, Whoever thinks that is beyond ignorant.
