President Biden has called for yet another record-smashing military budget, including billion for nuclear weapons "modernization" - i.e. more nuclear arms. He has gone against his campaign promise to push the country toward a policy wherein the sole purpose of the nuclear arsenal would be to deter nuclear attacks.
Nuclear weapons pose a dire threat to not just civilization, not just all humanity, but to all life on this planet. We need to eliminate nuclear weapons for once and all. We can start by halting spending on new nuclear arms. The money we save can go to research on renewable energy, fixing our infrastructure, and more.
Time for President Biden to fulfill his promise - and guide humanity to a nuclear-free future.
