Pledge to Defeat the Bush/Schwarzenegger Agenda in CA

Arnold Schwarzenegger told Californians he was a different kind of Republican. Yet from the start, Arnold has governed from the right-wing playbook of the White House.

Like President Bush's "No Child Left Behind," "Healthy Forests" and "Clear Skies" initiatives, Arnold's "Put the Kids First" and "Live Within Our Means" initiatives are dishonestly labeled proposals that do nothing to enrich California's future or prepare our state to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Stand up for California and oppose the right-wing attack on our schools, our workers, and our democracy:

Dear Governor Schwarzenegger and President Bush,

On November 8, 2005, I will be saying "NO" to the Bush/ Schwarzenegger agenda by voting "NO" on all six right-wing initiatives.

To succeed in the global economy of the 21st century, California needs leaders willing to tackle the real issues facing our state. At the very time that we should be focused on issues such as education, transportation and health care, Schwarzenegger is forcing the state to endure his deeply divisive special election.

The last thing California needs is to become the proving ground for Bush's divisive politics and destructive policies. That's why I will send a message to Schwarzenegger in Sacramento and Bush and Rove in Washington, DC and vote "NO" on November 8, 2005.

Sincerely,
