My Aunt is alone with never having a spouse or children. Unfortuatly many families are scattered due to job opportunities and it being so easy to relocate. I already have a medical Durable power of attorney but need more authority to make a change of address from her house to mine for she has deminsia and is not able to understand her mail, help settle housing affairs and banking affairs, rights to pay bills and to sell her property being she will not be able to return home. She has planned on me being there to take care of these things for her and I know she counts me trustworthy to take care of these things. Myself snd my coisin Mrs Annette Gregorio of Fl are the only beniciciaries listed on her will with all assests divided 50/50. my Cousin doess not have a problem with me preforming these duties.
I am the exectrix and of her last will and testament but not knowing the course of the nature of her diagnosis and the lenght it will last is difficult to know. it is my intentions to move my Aunt near me where I know myself and my family will try to make the rest of her life as safe and as stable as possible. It will be much easierfor me to help manage her care if she was near me (I live in Al and she in NJ). Because I do not have a durable power of attorney for financial matters I feel the Gaurdianship is a nessary title to care for the financial matters in this sitiation.
