This petition is for those in support of building a NASCAR track in Washington State. Its primary goal is to bring to the attention of Washington state legislation. That there are in fact many people wanting a NASCAR track in the State of Washington, and hopefully aid in the decision of putting a NASCAR track in the Northwest.
To whom it may concern:
The following signatures are of not only State residents, but outside State residents that want to see Washington get a NASCAR track. We believe that by putting a track in the Northwest it will not only help NASCAR grow as a sport, but help the State of Washington, by giving back to its community. By building a track in Washington, you get out of State fans coming and staying in Washington aiding in tourism for the State and boosting the economy. Many of the people that signed this petition would come to a race if Washington received a track. Many of them are out of State fans. Most people in Washington State know little knowledge of NASCAR, because the closest NASCAR track we have is in California. Again, most of the money coming in to States for NASCAR races is from out of State fans. By bringing a track to Washington, you’re increasing knowledge of NASCAR. NASCAR is the biggest sport in the United States closly follwing football. In fact, many football fans are NASCAR fans as well. So why not put a track in Washington? Yes, we realize the many opposing reasons for not wanting a track, but all of that can be solved some way or another. Please consider putting a track in Washington, and do some research on NASCAR before you make uneducated statements,opinions and or accusations.
