End the torture, suffering and abuse of show horses!

On January 13th the USDA / APHIS notified the public of their intent to publish a widely-supported final rule that would halt the inhumane treatment of Racking and Tennessee Walking Horses. The federal regulation would have eradicated the use of pads and chains in Big Lick competitions, stopping the horrific cruelty and intentional soring (the infliction of pain on the hooves and limbs to induce the pain-based show gait known as the Big Lick that goes with it).

The new regulation was set to be published in the Federal Register on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, but it was withdrawn as a result of an Executive Order signed by President Trump directing a temporary halt to all regulatory development pending review and approval by the new Administration.

Please sign this petition to demand that President Trump and the new Secretary of Agriculture expeditiously review and approve this rule for publication in the Federal Register.
