Give a Child a Chance to See Life Clearly
Can you imagine sitting in class suffering in silence as the blackboard grows blurrier and blurrier, unable to raise your hand because you no longer know the answers? That's what tens of thousands of kids across our country face every day as they struggle to learn because of vision problems.
In fact:
- Over 2 million children here in the U.S. have undiagnosed or uncorrected refractive error.
- Since as much as 80% of children's learning occurs through their eyes, these children cannot achieve their full academic and reading potential and have a much harder time succeeding in school -- and in life.
Helen Keller was not able to see, but she had the vision and determination to know no child should ever suffer from treatable vision problems.
Add your voice to Helen's and help the organization she co-founded spread the word that no child in the U.S. or around the world need suffer a treatable vision problem.
