Zuckerberg: Stop Defending Dirty Fossil Fuels!

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's group FWD.us has been running ads supporting an expansion of the Keystone XL pipeline and drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Why? As a political game in order to distract voters from their representatives' politically risky votes in the current session.

These are the wrong priorities for America, and we should not be using dirty, damaging projects as a political shield.

Sierra Club Executive Director said this in a statement: "Mark Zuckerberg has made comments in the past recognizing that we need to pursue a clean energy future, and there is no reason he needs to trade those principles for a few political points."

Facebook also rejected ads that called out the organization's promotion of Keystone XL. So why is Facebook now prioritizing dirty oil over free speech?
