All Americans Deserve Religious Freedom

GOP politician Herman Cain announced on Fox News Sunday that he thinks Americans should have the right to ban mosques in their communities because Islam is the only religion that attempts to "combine church and state."

From someone who affirmed he was "following God's plan" in running for president, Cain's statement is ironic and offensive.

Cain acted on his outrageous opposition to Islam when he supported the citizens of Murfreesboro, Tennessee who were trying to prevent a large mosque from being built in their town. Of the mosque, he said, "This isn't an innocent mosque...This is another way to sneak Shariah law into our laws, and I absolutely object to that."

Tell Herman Cain: All American citizens deserve religious freedom, don't discriminate against Islamic mosques.
Dear Mr. Cain,

On Fox News Sunday, you announced that you think Americans should have the right to ban mosques in their communities because Islam is the only religion that attempts to combine church and state. Yet you committed this very act when you said you were "following God's plan" by running for president.

All Americans deserve religious freedom. Don't unfairly discriminate against Islamic mosques.
