Mash the Mosquitoes and Help End Preventable Death From Malaria

Canadians have lots of reasons to mash mosquitoes. But here’s another important one: In many developing countries, mosquitoes aren't just an annoyance. They can carry malaria, which contributes to the death of 10,000 pregnant women and 20,000 babies in Africa every year.

But what makes these already tragic statistics even worse is that malaria is entirely preventable with something as simple as a bed net.

Malaria continues to ravage children and families in Africa, where 90% of global malaria cases occur, despite being essentially eradicated in Canada over 50 years ago.

Take action today to make sure everyone can live without fear of this preventable disease. Pledge to help Plan Canada keep people world wide safe from malaria!
