Charlie Kirk's Death Shows Us Gun Violence Is Out of Control. Congress Must Act Before More Lives Are Lost.

Gun violence in America doesn't discriminate. From everyday families in small towns to national political figures, no one is safe. Recently, Charlie Kirk – a pro-gun and right-wing political activist – was killed in broad daylight. His death is a stark reminder that firearms in civilian hands are not protecting us. They are killing us.

The truth is clear: states with looser gun laws suffer the highest rates of death. In 2021, eight of the ten states with the worst firearm death rates were deep red states with minimal regulation. Mississippi's gun death rate was nearly ten times higher than Massachusetts. The evidence is overwhelming: where there are fewer gun safety laws, there are more grieving families.

Sign the petition to demand Congress take immediate action to pass strong, nationwide gun safety laws!

Gun violence is now more common in rural counties than in major cities. Whether it's suicides, domestic violence, or mass shootings in schools, churches, and supermarkets, the violence is everywhere, and it's only growing. Guns are deadly, indiscriminate weapons, and they should never be in civilian control.

Advocating for more weapons doesn't make us safer. It only brings more violence, and more loss. If we want to end this epidemic, we must curb easy access to firearms and enact real safeguards that protect every community, red or blue.

Sign now to tell Congress: Guns do not keep us safe. Pass strong gun safety laws before more lives are stolen.
