President Obama may be one of the youngest presidents in U.S. history, but he's accomplished quite a bit in his time in office.
In the last three years alone, President Obama has elected to fully fund the Violence Against Women Act, repeal the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy, sign a "universal" health care bill, invest in public transportation and alternative energy, reverse restrictions on stem cell research and raise fuel economy standards.
As you wish President Obama a happy birthday, use this opportunity to wish congratulate President Obama on his considerable achievements and to urge him to strengthen the fight for progressive change in the future.
Happy birthday, President Obama! Congratulations on accomplishing so much during your tenure as President of the United States.

I'd also like to encourage you to continue to take progressive steps on behalf of your constituents. Although your achievements are mighty, I urge you to remember the millions of Americans who still suffer from inequality, whether it be economic, educational, civil, racial, or gender-based.
