Tell Canada's Federal Politicians: We Need a Canada that Works for ALL Generations

Many younger Canadians are feeling the squeeze. We squeeze in years more of education and tuition, accept jobs or contracts that require years more work to save a down payment, and for many, this means waiting years longer to move out of parents' homes, or to establish financial independence.

Meanwhile, high costs for housing and child care, stagnant wages, high debt loads, less time and worrisome levels of environmental deterioration and intergenerational debt all take their toll.

Individuals and families are doing their best to adapt, but government policy needs to follow suit.

Despite the squeeze on younger Canadians, governments spend less than $12K on benefits and services per Canadian under 45, compared to more than $33K for every retiree!

This is not a good deal for Canadians in their 40s or younger. Canadian governments need to make younger people a priority.

Now's the time speak out for Canada's younger generation! Federal politicians need to hear from you on the issues that matter most.

Sign the petition to tell federal politicians that you support a better generational deal. Let's create a Canada that works for all generations.

Dear [Decision Maker],

Many Canadians in their 40s or younger are feeling the squeeze. Young Canadians squeeze in years more of education and tuition, accept jobs or contracts that require years more work to save a down payment, and for many, this means waiting years longer to move out of parents' homes, or to establish financial independence.

Meanwhile, high costs for housing and child care, stagnant wages, high debt loads, less time and worrisome levels of environmental deterioration and intergenerational debt all take their toll.

To help, politicians like you need to make younger people a priority. I'm writing to urge you to help create a Canada that works for all generations.

Please pledge your support for a better generational deal.
