Protect Medication Abortion!

Medication abortion, which uses medicines to end a pregnancy, is still legal – but anti-abortion politicians and policy makers are trying to take it away.

Since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022, there has been a consistent, coordinated attack on dismantling our right to access medication abortion, including Mifepristone, and abortion care via telemedicine. 

Anti-abortion politicians are leveraging their power in conservative states to ban and further limit access to medication abortion. They are using their influence with policy makers and health agencies to rewrite rules, and they are using the courts to cement these changes. 

These attacks go against decades of data and decades of use of this medication in the U.S. and worldwide. This assault on abortion is not founded in a concern for safety, but are instead politically motivated, with the goal of fully banning all abortion across the county.
