Speak Out for Refugees from Syria and Around the World

What would you do if -- in an instant -- bombs, famine or insecurity destroyed your home and forced you from your town? According to the UNHCR there are more than 43.7 million refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) worldwide facing that very question.

Often uprooted with little or no warning, refugees and IDPs are forced to flee danger with little more than the clothes on their backs. Unable to return home, their only alternative is to rebuild their lives in makeshift camps or overcrowded urban areas where food, clean water and medicine are often scarce.

That's where International Medical Corps steps in. We protect the health and well-being of some of the world’s largest IDP and refugee populations, and train local healthcare workers to deliver care. Right now, we are serving thousands of Syrian refugees. Over the years, we have worked with refugees and IDPs in Afghanistan, Darfur, Ethiopia and more.

June 20 is World Refugee Day. Add your voice to support refugees from Syria and around the world.
