Take Action Now for Sudan!

Sudan is in crisis. Two years of civil war have left tens of thousands dead.

Intense clashes involving small-arms fire, heavy weaponry, artillery and airstrikes continue to put thousands of families and children in grave danger.

As of January 2025, over half the population requires critical assistance (30.4 million people).  50% of those affected are women and girls, while 16 million are children – representing the nation's future.

Save the Children has been working in Sudan since 1983, operating in 13 of the country's 18 states to support the most vulnerable and hard-to-reach kids and families.  Today, we're one of the largest international NGOs protecting children's lives and rights in Sudan.

After the conflict broke out on April 15, 2023, we briefly paused our operations in some conflict-affected areas to ensure our staff's safety and well-being. By May 2023, we initiated our emergency response and swiftly adapted ongoing programs to provide health care, nutrition, water, sanitation, hygiene, child protection, food security, livelihoods and education across Sudan.

None of this important work would be possible without the support of people like you. Will you stand with Save the Children and the people of Sudan?
