Pledge to Boycott Puppy Mills
Right now, over 165,000 dogs are being forced to breed in puppy mills all over the U.S. in barren cages without veterinary care, good food, or clean water to drink.
Puppy mill operators maximize their profits by producing large numbers of puppies as quickly as possible. As a result, unsanitary conditions, disease, and neglect are rampant. The mother dogs give birth to multiple litters per year throughout their adult lives. They, and aging father dogs, will regularly be abandoned or killed when they are no longer "useful" to their breeders.
There's no need for dogs to breed and be bred at puppy mills when there are millions of deserving, loving animal companions waiting to be adopted from shelters.
We have a responsibility to decrease demand for puppy mill dogs. If every future dog parent refused to buy their new best friend at a pet store, a significant number of lives would be spared from physical and emotional pain, neglect, and abuse at puppy mills.
For puppy mill operators, profit is their only priority. It's time to make doing the right thing for dogs our priority. Sign our pledge to boycott puppy mills. Together we can shut down the cruel puppy mill industry for good.
