Help job-seekers into work

We are calling on the Government to break barriers between job-seekers and employment- not build them. Our research found that 3.2 million unemployed people desire to work but sadly, for many, the one-size-fits-all system simply doesn't enable them to do so.

For example, people who are experiencing homelessness, living with disability or who have been long-term carers understandably need a more tailored approach to job support.

Our Employment Plus service has proved that quality, tailored support enables people who have experienced long term unemployment gain lasting, meaningful employment. Therefore, we believe that supporting people to overcome barriers to the job market is the way forward and will save the Government money in the long term. Welfare reform alone won't fix the underlying causes preventing getting people into work – we need to ensure that there is tailored, human-centred support available to those most in need.
