There is a petition on this site claiming to want to help cats, but is actually asking for these cats to be removed.
The petition claims "We are concerned for the safety of ourselves..." The only mention the safety of cats is "they risk harm to themselves by dodging traffic, trolleys and pedestrians."

I am requesting signaturesof true animal lovers to counter this petition, so these cats can really get the help they deserve and not risk "removal".
We the undersigned urge you to not allow the strays within the Roselands precinct to be harmed. Like all stray cats, they deserve a fair chance. If there are resources available, these cats should be neutered, and if possible, re-homed. Otherwise, they should be left alone.
