Stop Liberty Foundation Gospel Ministries of Nigeria from labeling children as witches.

Target:
Evangelist (Mrs.) Helen Ukpabio
Sponsored by:
We the undersigned are outraged to hear about your churches labeling  children as witches. Unfortunately many of the children are starved, tortured, abandoned and even killed because their parents and the communities are afraid. The rest of humanity finds that this is evil and totally shameful. Please stop these shameful activities.

l do plead with you and your churches to stop the endangering of these innocent children, they are not evil, they are normal children and they have rights. If this doesn't stop soon Nigeria will no longer have a future and the world will have missed the gifts that these children will have gave to us all.  Please investigate your churches and make sure that they are not doing harm to any children.

Children should be allowed to live without dreadful attacks made on them. No child is a witch. There are no witches. It is a false story put out by people seeking power and money.

Dear in Christ, I greet you in the most highly exalted name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ .I praise god that He has privileged me to send this E-mail to you for your kind co-operation. I sincerely apologize you for my approach like this. Please don't get irritated on reading my E-mail. I am a servant of god in India. I have been doing the Gospel work for the last 12 years. I have my fellow pastors to co-operate with me for the extension of the kingdom of god. Our Gospel work is mainly done in rural, tribal and remote slum areas. India is a country of Hinduism as the main religion. Indians worship 33 million of gods and goddesses. Out of one billion Indians only 2.4% are Christians. Ours is a secular country. But there is a hell of intolerance for Christianity. There have been endeavors to root out Christianity from India. In such conditions we have been doing the Gospel work by facing many troubles. Christianity in our society is considered as one of the lowest communities. Christians have no respect. They are treated as untouchables and are not allowed to live together with the people of higher community. It is because of their poverty and illiteracy. So most of our fellows Christians live in huts at the out skirts of villages. We are regular victims of nature calamities such as cyclones, floods and fire accidents, which take away lives and shelters of people in a great number. Consequently there are orphans and widows. Gospel work in India is a matter of starvation and persecutions. Our resources are very small and there are many times beyond the reach of our basic needs. We are in need of a monthly support for our pastors to look after their families when do the Gospel work. We need a monthly support to look after the orphan children who are hungry in many days in the month. At such times they seem to be gloomy and sick. Every orphan child has a very heart rending history. We are hope fully looking forward for a godparent like you to fill the tiny belly and wipe the tears on the tender cheek of at least one orphan child. The little you help us will enable us to do a great deal of God's work. Our aim is to reach every nook and corner and promote the Gospel to every perishing soul. We are in need of bicycles and a four wheeler for our Gospel out reach work. Your kind involvement will enable us to achieve our goal. Please have a kind consideration for our ministry. You are warm welcome to India. Please pay your esteemed visit to India to see our work here. Please join your hands in ours to save India for Jesus. We sincerely pray for your welfare and prosperity. I await your kind and favorable response prayerfully and hopefully. Sincerely your servant for Jesus' sake, Rev Anandbabu Ravuri, Christian Living Ministries, Door No: 20-33-8, Ravuri’s Street, Chinnaravuru, Tenali-522201, Andhra Pradesh, South India. Helen Ukpabio greatly misinterprets the bible if she believes that any child is a witch or may be possesed. Children are indeed our future and the most inoccent of all of us.

I am wondering the stupidity and foolishness of you people or group in US who havetaken advantage of internet to write and promote your ignorance without a proof. i have attended liberty gospel church for years before i left for the UK and had witnessed the lady Apostle conduct several deliverance service, she only ministers from a distance and oftentime people confesse their acts during the preaching before she conducts deliverane. The witnesses are always there to confirm to the confessions and many of those delivered from the witchcraft possesion are currently members of the ministry, where did you get your video from? from her God given ministry or from spiritualist who claim they can deliver peole but end up killing them or did you fake it just to oppose and persecute the church?. You need to repent.

These are some of the most horrific brutalities I've ever heard about. It's amazing that these kinds of atrocities could ever exist within humanity. And to children? This can't be allowed to continue.

It's a pity that most of the documentaries about the "witchcraft hunt in Nigeria" have been taken of sites but luckily i still could find one that is still online. I am outraged and uttermost disturbed about what is going on in the churches in Nigeria. Have we not learn from the past?? This has little to do with the so-called mixture between the traditional nature believe and Christianity. For centuries churches are looking for someone to blame for poverty and other miseries that are attacking the community. Spirituality have been there before any religion were practiced on Mother Earth. Since the beginning of time people were living in harmony with the nature-elements that GOD put on Mother Earth. So Helen, don't blame community's poverty on spiritually people who in your terms are labelled as witchcrafters. Your are NOT GOD. I can't even acknowledge you as child of GOD for judging these innocent children(they aren't even witchcrafters!!) as so-called witchcrafters and indoctrinate their parents to torture, abandon and even kill them.

I saw the documentary aswell and I was shocked. How can they do that in Jesus's name? They have to read the Bible beter. It's good to see that somebody takes care of the children.

God's Word tells us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. I urge anyone involved in these practices to consider Jesus' command very VERY seriously. It will have eternal consequences.
