Wantoestanden dierenasiel Kontich/ Abuses in animal shelter/ Abus dans des refuges animaux
In het dierenasiel te Kontich spelen zich al jaren onaanvaardbare taferelen af. Al tientallen jaren worden de dieren in Kontich en KMD Antwerpen op dieronwaardige wijze NIET verzorgd.
Het is onbegrijpelijk dat mensen die zichzelf een dierenvriend noemen zulke praktijken toepassen. Voor zowel de honden als de katten is het leven een hel in deze asielen.
Dieren die redelijk gezond binnenkomen, worden alsmaar zieker, zie hier het voorbeeld van Thor. ( lees ook eens handtekening 244)

Gelukkig zijn er nog vrijwilligers die in deze moeilijke omstandigheden toch nog voor een sprankeltje hoop zorgen voor de dieren. Ze worden echter niet gesteund door een falend en schandelijk beleid van de verantwoordelijken van het asiel
De dieren krijgen niet de vereiste medische zorgen. Ze worden amper nagekeken en sterven vaak na en een helse lijdensweg. Zieke dieren worden alleen maar zieker en krijgen geen fatsoenlijke verzorging.
Katten leven soms jarenlang in kleine kooitjes en een sterilisatiebeleid bestaat er gewoonweg niet. Soms zitten katten 3 jaar lang in een kooitje waar ze zich enkel kunnen keren en wenden.
Dit dierenasiel is een schande voor alle organisaties die veel moeite doen om de dieren een tweede kans te geven. Alle dierenwelzijnsprotocollen worden er al jarenlang met de voeten geveegd.
Momenteel lopen er verschillende klachten tegen dierenasiel Kontich maar tot op heden is er nog geen enkel resultaat geboekt. Alle instanties zijn op de hoogte en hebben vaststellingen gedaan maar de dieren blijven in de kou staan. Vele dieren hebben tijdens deze jarenlange bureaucratische procedures onnodig het leven gelaten.
Met deze petitie willen we onze grote walging, afschuw en bezorgdheid tonen.
Deze petitie moet ervoor zorgen dat nu snel de gepaste maatregelen genomen worden. Het welzijn van de dieren moet nu eindelijk eens gerespecteerd worden. Van een asiel moet men kunnen verwachten dat ze een voorbeeldfunktie vervullen.
We leven in 2008 en het is onwaarschijnlijk welke praktijken nog getolereerd worden in deze dierenasielen. Laat ons spreken voor deze dieren, laat ons opkomen voor hun rechten zonder rekening te houden met politiek, ellenlange procedures en andere excuses om deze praktijken toe te laten.
Dierenvrienden , laat uw hart spreken, teken deze petitie en samen zullen we ervoor proberen te zorgen dat deze situatie nu eindelijk stopt. Doe het voor de dieren want ze kunnen niet zonder ons, de echte dierenvrienden.
For years and years, terrible things happen in the animal shelter in Kontich (Belgium). For decades, the animals living in Kontich and KMD Antwerp are NOT taken care of. One cannot understand that humans, that call themselves animal friends, do such things. For both cats and dogs, living in these shelters is hell on earth.
Animals that arrive at the shelters in reasonable health get sicker and sicker. Take for example Thor ( see pictures above) Luckily, there are volunteers that give the animals some hope in these terrible conditions. However, the volunteers are not supported because of the failing and shameful policy of the people responsible for the shelters. The animals are deprived of the necessary health care. They are hardly looked at and often die after a long and painful period of time. Sick animals only get sicker and do not get decent care. Sometimes, cats live in little cages in which they can barely turn around for 3 years.
The veterinarian is a shame for all organizations that try their best to give the animals a second chance. All protocols about the well-being of animals have been ignored for years.
At the moment, several complaints have been filed against the shelters and they are looked upon, so far without results. All the official organizations know about the problems and have concluded that the complaints are true. However, the animals are still there and still in the same miserable conditions. Many animals died unnecessary during these years of bureaucratic red tape. With this petition, we want to show our disgust and concern. This petition is meant to make sure that the appropriate actions are taken soon. The well being of the animals must be respected now. A shelter should be setting a good example.
It's 2008 and what is still toleraded in these shelters is unthinkable. Let us speak up for these animals and let us stand up for their rights without taking into account politics, neverending procedures and other excuses to allow this to continue any longer.

Les animaux des refuges Anvers et Kontich vivent dans un enfer. Depuis des dizaines d'années ils ne sont PAS soignés. Il est incompréhensible que des personnes qui se nomment amis des animaux appliquent de telles pratiques.
Des animaux qui entrent en assez bonne santé deviennent de plus en plus malades, voyez l'exemple de Thor (lisez aussi la signature nr 244).

Heureusement dans cette situation difficile il y a encore des volontaires qui font ce qu'ils peuvent pour donner un peu d'espoir aux animaux. Mais ils ne sont pas soutenus par la gestion scandaleuse des responsables.
Les animaux malades sont à peine contrôlés. Ils ne reçoivent pas de soins et meurent souvent après un long martyr. Des chats vivent des années dans des cages minuscules. Ni castration ni stérilisation ne sont appliqués. Certains chats résident des années dans ces cages où ils peuvent à peine se tourner.
Ce refuge est un scandale pour toutes les organisations qui font beaucoup d'efforts pour donner une seconde chance aux malheureux. Depuis des années tous les protoles du bien-être animal sont piétinés. Pour l'instant il y a maintes plaintes contre le refuge. Jusqu'à présent in y' a aucun résultat. Durant ces lentes procédures bureaucratiques une multitude d'animaux y a déjà laissé la vie inutilement. Cette pétition exprime notre horreur et notre dégoût. Elle doit faire en sorte que les mesures nécessaires soient prises. Le bien-être des animaux doit enfin être respecté. D'un refuge on doit pouvoir attendre qu'il remplisse une fonction exemplaire.
Nous vivons en 2008 et il est incroyable de voir quelles pratiques horribles sont encore tolérées dans ces refuges. Parlons pous les animaux, défendons leurs droits sans tenir compte de la politique, des procédures interminables et d'autres excuses qui permettent ces pratiques.

twerd tijd dat ze is iets tegen kontich gingen doen!!!
gruwelijk,maar het heeft geen zin om dit asiel te sluiten. zeker niet met de vakanties voor de deur! gooi de verantwoordelijken maar op straat en zet er mensen in die een beetje kunnen organiseren. en het geld dat ze krijgen aan de dieren spenderen en niet voor etentjes of een luxe bureaustoel. WANT DAT KUNNEN ZE GOE HIER IN ANTWERPEN!!!!!

C'est honteux! Les refuges devraient être exemplaires quant aux soins apportés aux animaux!
Je suis indignée de voir que de tels refuges existent. C'est une honte et il faut faire cesser cela pour le bien de tous ces animaux qui méritent vraiment que l'on prennent soin d'eux.
