Have petition questions? Ask us this Friday!

What is the biggest challenge you’re facing right now as an activist?

Don’t be shy — we all have one, and there’s no shame in admitting it. Even if we through our whole heart and soul into a cause, facing setbacks is part of the process.

But don’t worry — hitting a roadblock doesn’t mean the campaign for change is over. Far from it! Instead, it’s a good time to take stock, reach out, ask for feedback, and bounce ideas off of other people — which is something you can do at this Friday’s live Q&A with senior Care2 organizers.

I remember the first time I ran into a frustrating obstacle while pushing for a cause I really cared about. I was 18 and trying to convince my college to divest from weapons contractors, but the administrators didn’t seem to care. My friends and I thought that our cause was dead. Fortunately, we met some students at a different college who had just fought a similar fight — and had won.

We picked their brains for every lesson they’d learned and tip they could provide. With their advice, we successfully convinced our university to create a special Socially Responsible Investor Board that would include student activists to oversee all investment decisions. It was an incredible victory, but it wouldn’t have happened without facing our frustrations and reaching out for help.

If you’ve ever wished you could ask a professional activist to help you with your campaign, join us on Friday at 3pm Eastern (7pm GMT) for a live Q&A with our senior organizers!

Joining this conversation will also connect you with other Care2 members who can share their tips and tricks for creating change.

Bring any questions you have about petitions or campaigns, or just say what you’re working on and how you’d like help, and we can talk about it! Or simply listen in to hear about solutions to common campaign issues.

See you soon!
