Isuzu Rodeo/Honda Passport Recall 1998-2002 Vehicles

Isuzu Rodeo/Honda Passport issued a recall for lower link trailing brackets in 22 states, September 2010.  99% of these vehicles are having the recall brackets installed even though the entire under body of the frame is severely rusted and is beyond repair. There have been many complaints to the NHTSA since 2004 about the frame corrosion. It was not included in this recall because there was not enough documentation on file.

Many customers have lost complete control of their SUV'S due to the frame or suspension corrosion.  It can break in half at a moments notice sending the vehicle out of control, causing a fatal accident at any time. Honda and Isuzu have done the recall repair kit but these vehicles are all still deemed UNSAFE to drive. This is a manufacturer defect! They used defective materials when they built these vehicles and yet our lives are of no value to a big corporation. They are sending drivers back onto the road, knowing full well that EVERYONE is at risk. Not only does Honda display no regard for human life, they want us to be stuck with the bill! Some of these cars, including mine, are not even paid off and yet we are stuck paying for a car payment for a vehicle that cannot be driven. The most Honda has done for any of us UNFORTUNATE people who trusted them was say, "Sorry, there is nothing else that we can do for you." Thank you Honda, for giving me a reason to BUY AMERICAN!
 
What about our safety and everyone else on the road that could be injured or killed because they CHOOSE to release these death traps back onto the road? This is beyond criminal and irresponsible for these big corporations to have total disregard for human life! This is serious danger to everyone! If this was a virus spreading through the air, every news station and media outlet would care and Honda would be EXPOSED as the heartless corporation that they have proven themselves to be! This IS a virus spreading across OUR highways and streets, ENDANGERING the lives of EVERYONE! Innocent people who have NO IDEA what crooked practices Honda has been displaying are at risk! Honda has been BLATANTLY telling people that these cars are safe to drive AFTER they just informed customer the day before that their vehicle was a Stage 5! How do the Honda executives sleep at night? I can promise you none of the Honda/Isuzu CEO's would drive their kids to school in these dangerous vehicles. How is this fair to the customers who trusted Honda?  Is it going to take more accidents or fatalities before Honda/Isuzu will agree to a FAIR BUY BACK OFFER to get these vehicles off the road?
We want justice NOW!  This has already been going on for YEARS! Some customers are getting buy back offers from Isuzu at a low market value. However, Honda refuses to negotiate with anyone on a buy back offer as their only response has been an empty "sorry."

Unfortunately the southern states have not been included in this recall but are also experiencing rusted and corroded trailing brackets. The corruption continues as these customers have also been told,"Sorry, you are out of luck." This is a HUMAN RIGHTS violation on so many levels because it involves endangering the lives of people who are unaware of what Honda and Isuzu are INTENTIONALLY doing! You cannot put a price on human life, but Honda & Isuzu have the CHOICE & RESPONSIBILITY to protect their customers and non-customers alike on the road. The CHOOSE NOT TO! Honda's mission statement on their website declares that  "Honda is committed to providing safety for everyone, not only for our drivers and passengers, but also for other vehicle occupants." They are NOT living up to that statement, even in the smallest regard.
