Stop Parking Charge Increases in Elgin City Centre

Following a Parking Review, the Moray Council are proposing charge increases in the majority of the car parks in Elgin City Centre, in addition to introducing charges in Cooper Park and at the Train Station.

We have genuine concerns about the negative economic impact this will have in the city centre, to city centre businesses and to residents living close by.

We are asking for your support to help stop this happening. Please sign our petition and ask the Moray Council to withdraw their proposal.

Elgin is currently the only town in Moray who has parking charges imposed, however the money raised does not stay in Elgin it it used to support the whole area.

The Parking Review will be brought before a Special Policy and Resource Committee Meeting on the 4th December 2017. Any action to encourage them to reject the parking increases must be completed and fed back before that date so time is short, please sign the petition and share the details with anyone who may be interested.

To gather additional information we are carrying out a short survey, we would appreciate you taking a few moments to complete it. Survey Link  or E mail Tina on tina.mainland.co.uk

You can also contact your local Councillors, MP, MSP & Community Council to pass on your views, a list of contact E mail addresses is attached. E Mail Addresses Link
