Stop pregnant horses from being forced to race!

Eleven-year-old race horse, Beyondtemptation, was forced to race for a third time in just 17 days whilst pregnant. She and her unborn foal were killed in a horrific fall when racing on a British racecourse.

The British Horseracing Authority is responsible for race horse welfare. Shockingly, it allows pregnant horses to race for up to almost four months into their gestation period. This, to many people, is unacceptable exploitation of both the mare and foal, all in the pursuit of financial gain by the 'connections' of the horse and the betting industry.

Please sign this petition to demand that the racing industry changes its rules to prevent horses who are in foal from being forced to race. Once a veterinarian has confirmed them pregnant, we believe they should not be made to race at any point during their gestation period.
