RNC: Return Steve Wynn's Dirty Money

"Still no word from DNC on returning all of Harvey Weinstein's donations…"

That was the tweet the RNC gleefully posted in early October of last year after news of major Democratic donor Harvey Weinstein's myriad sexual abuses came to light.

Politicians from the GOP lined up in droves to appear on major news shows to express their outrage that Mr. Weinstein who had been accused by dozens of women of allegations that spanned from harassment to rape.

Now, after all their protestations for the DNC to return Weinstein's donations, the RNC has found itself in a similar situation. Allegations of decades of sexual misconduct by RNC finance chair and Republican mega donor Steve Wynn made headlines last week.

While he denied the charges, Mr. Wynn quickly resigned from the RNC — the organization that he helped run. But what about the more than $1 million dollars that he has donated to the GOP over the last 40 years.

After the Weinstein allegations, the DNC and other democratic politicians rushed to return or donate the sexual predator's contributions to the party. And when democratic politicians were accused of sexual misbehavior the party as a whole worked to expel them from their ranks.

The same can't be said for the RNC. This week, RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel Romney told Fox News that the RNC wouldn't return the money. Yet just a few months ago she, herself on her personal Twitter, asked:

"If the DNC truly stands up for women like they say they do, then returning Weinstein's dirty money should be a no-brainer."

So now it's time to ask Ms. Romney and the rest of the RNC if they truly stand up for women why aren't they giving up Mr. Wynn's dirty money.

Sign the petition and demand the RNC return all of Mr. Wynn's donations. After all, it should be a no-brainer.
