As many Meetup members and organizers are painfully aware. Meetup over the years has made some changes but unfortunately for the worse.
Many features and functions have been changed for the worse. The phone app has become very confusing and very difficult to use. Many organizer features have been "quietly" removed or deleted.
I personally have tried to contact Meetup multiple times to get help. And basically told the cut and paste responses.
What I want to try with this petition is to get a large number of Meetup users signing this petition.
To show Meetup that a huge problem exists and they need to consult the users directly.
Ultimately it would be wonderful if the ceo or upper management got envolved. Listened to the issues of direct users and showed us they are trying to fix the problems.
As it stands today many groups are leaving and moving to Facebook. Or actively searching for alternative programs.
Not sure if this petition allows comments but I would love to see members complaints. So we can start a list.
Just some options off the top of my head,:
-users freeze or hold function from organizers menu ( many members turn off all notifications)
-bring back no show box for attendance so we can keep track of no shows.
-why does it take a day for pictures to update
-have a crop and edit function to users photos
-making name tags removed
-adding members to event at the time of event removed from app
-removed the ability to move drop pin for event locations
-when accepting/declining members via moble app, the secondary screen does not come up allowing you to put in a note to user.
vs the web page allows you to put in a message why you declined them
(meetup orginally told me this was a issue with my IOS app and my person phone.) then later told me it was a actual software issue
