Baltimore Cops Kept Toy Guns to Plant on Suspects - DOJ Must Investigate!

Nearly a dozen members of Baltimore Police Department's now-defunct Gun Trace Task Force have been arrested and indicted for various crimes, with charges including racketeering and robbery. As some of the officers' trials unfold, disturbing new details of the task force's corruption have emerged.

According to witness testimony, members of the task force were instructed by their supervisor, Sgt. Wayne Jenkins, to keep a collection of BB guns in case they were ever "in a jam" and needed to plant evidence.

Please sign this petition to make sure the officers involved pay for their crimes and that the Department of Justice investigates these disturbing allegations.

The Baltimore Police Department already has a dark and disturbing history, but the Gun Trace Task Force made illegal activity an everyday occurrence. From selling confiscated guns and drugs back on the street for profit, to pocketing hundreds of thousands of dollars, to entering a man's home without a warrant using keys stolen from the man during a traffic stop, the task force regularly engaged in misconduct.

But planting a gun as evidence is absolutely reprehensible and cannot be tolerated. Sign now to make sure the officers involved are brought to justice and that the DOJ investigates now!
