News emerged this week that senior staffers in the White House have been made to sign NDAs by Trump in the hopes that they'll never tell what they saw, even after the Trump administration has ended.
There's one big problem: That's unconstitutional. White House staffers are government workers, not Trump's personal employees, and cannot be subject to a gag order.
Even though the NDAs are most likely unenforceable, we urge Chief of Staff John Kelly, to stop having new staffers (hey, they've got to replace the fired ones) sign them in an effort to intimidate them into silence. The White House should not be knowingly having employees sign unconstitutional documents.
