Demand Corporate Accountability for Indonesia!

For decades the people of West Papua have been suffering blatant human rights abuses including imprisonment, torture, extrajudicial executions and "disappearances" from as early as 1995. The American mining company, Freeport McMoran, joined forces with the Indonesian military and killed 37 villagers for protesting their mining operations.

Lily Wahid, a member of the House of Representatives Commission I on Defense Affairs, said that PT Freeport Indonesia has disbursed $14 million of funds to National Police and Indonesian Military. Freeport Indonesia spokesperson, Ramdani Sirait, said that the payment issue is a common matter.
