The new owners need your help! Please sign this petition and support Kimberly & Dominic Didomenicantonio's effort to purchase of the Marietta Ice Center!
Several months ago, Dominic & Kimberly Didomenicantonio signed a lease for the rink with Retail Planning Corporationand a letter of intent with Sunlife Financial which owns the property to purchase it. A few weeks ago, they began turning "The Barn" into a quality ice skating facility, complete with new viewing areas, working toilet facilities, tiled walls and granite counter tops, much of which the two have installed themselves.
Retail Planning Corporation, the Property Management company that managed the leasing agreement on behalf of Sunlife Financial, had Sunlife cancel the sale of the property to the Didomenicantonio family citing the renovations “Acts of Vandalism to their facility" after the couple poured more than $100,000 into the building. They described the Didomenicantonio's as "adversarial tenants." As a result, the lobby renovations are still in progress and the plans for locker rooms and other improvements cannot be started until the issue is settled.*
Whether you support Adult league or youth hockey, are into figure skating or just enjoy public skate and stick time - you know Atlanta cannot afford to lose a sheet of ice - ice time is a commodity as it is. Please share with your friends and neighbors - we need all the signatures we can get!

I signed the petition "Help Rebuild the Marietta Ice Center!". I'm asking you to sign this petition as well to help us reach our goal of 1000 signatures.
The MIC is long overdue for a renovation,and the new owners, Kim and Dominic Didominicantonio are really excited about supporting hockey here in Atlanta. Retail Planning Corporation is trying to stop them by saying their renovations are acts of vandalism, when in fact they don't want to lose the leasing revenue if the property is purchased outright.
Even if you don't care about hockey in Atlanta, help us stand up for entrepreneurs by fighting against these kind of below-the-belt business tactics. Share this petition with your friends and neighbors. And thank you again for your support!
