Amazon, Don't Sell Roy Moore's Sexist Book As a "Textbook"

Roy Moore co-authored a book that Amazon has categorized as a "textbook." But actually, it's a load of sexism with religious dogma as citation.

Demand Amazon stops selling this book as a "textbook."

Among other things, the book states that women should not run for political office and that if they do, everyone has a moral obligation not to vote for them. Not only is this stupid and sexist, it's actually extremely harmful. Research shows that having gender parity in politics and boardrooms actually significantly improves the way any group functions. So it's not only offensive, it's actually an idea that can harm our country a lot.

Everyone has the right to any idea they want, but Amazon has the responsibility to categorize items in an accurate and responsible way. Selling this at all is questionable. Selling it as a textbook is just wrong. Please sign to tell Amazon to change this immediately.

The book was commissioned by a now defunct group of fringe Christians, led by a man who, like Roy Moore, is a known pedophile. This man sexually, emotionally and psychologically abused a child while he was married. These are not people who get to take some false moral high ground and sell their ideas as truth when they are such destructive members of society.

The website for the company that commissioned the book says "Egalitarian feminism is a false ideology that has bred false doctrine in the church and seduced many believers.".

The textbook itself says "women should not work outside the home, run for office, or take on any role that gives women "dominance" over men, calling women "the weaker vessel." Women, the lesson teaches, are only fit to be homemakers and should dedicate their lives to their husbands and children, never to work or outside pursuits."

This kind of thing cannot be allowed to be sold as a valid thing to study.
