Chipotle Must Stop Hiding Violence Behind "Humane" Marketing

Tens of thousands of chickens crowded together in filthy industrial sheds. Mutilated birds desperately holding on to their sad and painful lives. Dead birds left to rot beside living ones. This is what I saw when I recently visited a Chipotle-supplying chicken farm.

I was a manager at Chipotle, and I was proud to tell customers about our happy animals. I thought I was doing something good because the company brags about using "free-range" animals and treating them with respect. But the horror I witnessed at the chicken farm demonstrates how little respect Chipotle actually has for animal life. It is clear that I was duped into believing a lie. And you probably have been, too.

Sign this petition to demand that Chipotle stop lying to the public and warn them about the way animals are suffering to produce the products they sell.

Chipotle already posts warning signs when they are serving animal products that don't meet their highest standards. But since cruel animal abuse has been documented even at their "humane" farms, they should be posting warnings of violence on all of their animal products. The public deserves to know the truth.

Sign this petition to demand that the Chiptole CEO Brian Niccol stop labeling animal abuse as "food with integrity."
Update #15 years ago
Thank you so much for your support with this campaign! Last week, I headed back to Chipotle with Direct Action Everywhere and we washed the store windows in a symbolic demand for transparency from the company. You can see the whole demonstration on livestream. Follow DxE's Facebook page if you want to stay in the loop about future actions and campaigns!
