Save The Grand Canyon From Toxic Uranium Mining!

Every year, millions of people stand at the rim of the Grand Canyon and marvel at this immense and spectacular landscape. It is a natural treasure that supports thousands of jobs, incredible wildlife and watersheds, and is sacred to Indigenous people.

Sign on to save the Grand Canyon!

With so much at stake, who would want to jeopardize the Grand Canyon? Sadly, we have an answer -- greedy mining industry executives and state and local Arizona officials. Emboldened by the Trump administration's anti-environment policies, they've been fighting for new toxic uranium mines. It's a shockingly callous money grab at the expense of local communities and this precious place.

In 2012, the Obama administration closed roughly 1 million acres of public lands surrounding the Grand Canyon to new mining claims. However, in the last 4 years the Trump administration has done everything in its power to undermine the former president's legacy and mine and frack some of our nation's most valuable public lands.

President-Elect Biden has already said that he opposes additional uranium mining in and around the Grand Canyon. We need to make sure that the Biden administration does everything it can to roll back and stand firm against its predecessors disastrous decisions and protect the Grand Canyon's wildlife and people.

Sign and tell the incoming Biden administration that it must take immediate action to protect the Grand Canyon from toxic uranium mining.
