Mr. Aliyu Abbati Abdulhammed, the Managing Director of the NigerianIncentive-based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL)

NIRSAL is an agency that is designed to provides agribusiness investments credit risk guarantees to help drive economic development through agriculture and also help reduce credit risk in Agricultural lending.

NIRSAL Commences Nation-wide Program to Improve Livestock Feed in some pilot phase include Adamawa, Delta, Imo, Oyo, Katsina, Bauchi and the Federal Capital Territory.

this scheme is expected to inject about 2,450 extra heads of cattle into the Nigerian market every three months and generate about N1,200,000 every year for each targeted farmer with concomitant positive impact on families and communities when fully implemented.

The program which will involve 700 livestock farmers has taken off as a pilot in Adamawa state and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Anchor Borrowers Programme (ABP). Under the comprehensive scheme,The Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL)-CBN had finance the program as scheduled and also promising a technical support to guaranteed results.

NIRSAL is an initiative of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Bankers Committee (BC) and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development (FMA&RD). In addition to many other functions, the company essentially administers a Risk Sharing Fund designed to identify, redefine, measure, re-price and evolve strategies to de-risk and catalyze lending to the Nigerian agriculture value chain.

We believed in this initiative which was launched last year and for over 15 months now about 100 people drawn from 23 local government of the state, fulfilled all the requirements from training to signing of agreement and equity payment of 50,000 by the beneficiary. But as of today all beneficiaries accounts are on post no debit (PND). And now on no one of the beneficiaries authority the money is been debited over and over.
We solicit that this funs should be returned to us or to the appropriate authority.
