Drop James Franco From 'The Deuce'

Following James Franco's Golden Globe win for Best Actor for his performance in "The Disaster Artist," multiple women came forward to accuse the actor of sexual misconduct and exploitative behavior. As a result, he was snubbed during Oscar nominations, but he still has multiple projects in the works, including the HBO drama series "The Deuce," which he also produces and occasionally directs.

Since the allegations against Franco have come pouring in, "The Deuce" co-creator and executive producer David Simon has said he is trying to figure out how to proceed. Sign this petition and tell David Simon and HBO to proceed by dropping Franco from "The Deuce" if he does not apologize for his inappropriate actions.

At The Golden Globes, Franco wore a "Time's Up" pin to show his support for the #MeToo movement and the countless women speaking out against sexual harassment and assault in Hollywood and other industries. He has also vocalized support for women speaking out, including those accusing him of misconduct. However, he still refuses to admit to any wrongdoing.

Some of his accusers admit that Franco's actions were not as severe as Harvey Weinstein's, but the behavior they describe still creates a hostile work environment for women and is part of the toxic culture that lets the Harvey Weinstein's of the world get away with sexual violence. These women are not out to ruin James Franco's career or life, they just want an apology - and they deserve one.

If James Franco wants to be a real ally to women, then he should take an honest look at his behavior and apologize to the women he has hurt. Sign now and tell David Simon and HBO to drop James Franco unless he apologizes.
