Reopen Public Access at Brunner Island!

In early November, Talen Energy, owner and operator of Brunner Island Electric Station, announced the closure of public access to its 3 public locations.

The boat launch located off of Wago Road just north of the power plant, the wetlands directly across the street from the main entrance, and the fishing area located at the southeast end of Brunner Island are now marked with "No Public Access" signs.

The Lower Susquehanna RIVERKEEPER® Association is dedicating time on this issue and would like to take statements from ANYONE affected by the closure of these access sites. Our goal is to get the public together and let our voices be heard. We all must come together if we stand a chance to get our rightful access back from Talen Energy! We hope Talen sees all of our support and entertains possible solutions to reopen access.
