Fox News: Apologize for Disseminating Lies!

  • recipient: Fox News Channel
The New York Times is asking the show for an apology after the show "Fox & Friends" aired an inaccurate segment accusing the paper of publishing a story in 2015 that interfered with the United States military’s attempt to kill Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS.

President Trump seemed to have caught (and believed) the false segment; within thirty minutes of airing, Trump unleashed his usual childish tweets at the newspaper.

“Fox and Friends” did clarify some of its claims, acknowledging that the New York Times ran the article by the Pentagon, who had no objections, before publication and that the article was published more than three weeks after the raid.

The clarification is not enough. Fox News must apologize for misleading the public with lies.

Fox News has a responsibility to maintain certain standards of journalistic integrity, especially since we’re seeing over and over again that President Trump relies on Fox as his primary news source, choosing it over his own intelligence briefings.

Please sign this petition demanding that Fox News apologize for spreading fake news and commit to truthful reporting in the future!
