Investors Deserve Reasonable Disclosure

On paid advertising TV shows ("infomercials") at the start the viewer is notified "this is a paid advertisement." This should apply also on You Tube and other Internet video venues. The listener needs to be told at the start if the guest of an interview is paying a financial consideration to the host interviewer for having him/her on their interview show or You Tube channel to facilitate the sale of subscription newsletters or sell other services/products. Many investment "advisers" have bad track records and still get many interviews even though the hosts of these interview shows KNOW the guest has a bad record; so, if money is being paid to get interviews, it creates bias on the part of the interviewer. So many You Tube channel interview hosts have guests who practically all have something to sell, and the interviewers aren't getting financial "consideration" for having them on repeatedly? In addition to requiring a notice "This May Be A Paid Advertisement" or "This May Be A Paid Infomercial" an accompanying notice should read, "Investigate the guests track record before subscribing to their newsletter or advisory service.” My suggestion sent to You Tube also. Write your Congressman and Senator and the Federal Communications Commission insisting that interview hosts provide disclosure if guests compensate them for interviews.
