Incredibly, only THREE companies control 90% of the telecom market in Canada --
Rogers, Bell, and Telus. And now, Rogers proposes to extend that monopoly with a merger with Shaw Communications!

"The problem with having that much power and control among only a couple telecommunication networks is that these outages are dramatic, severe, and they have a real impact on people and businesses," said Daniel Tsai, law and technology professor at the University of Toronto.

New Democratic Party leader Jagmeet Singh has also called to "break up these monopolies" and pause Rogers' merger plans.

Ottawa's Competition Bureau argues that the Shaw deal would only strengthen Rogers' monopoly. Canadians must support the Competition Bureau's efforts to block antitrust approval for this $26 billion telecom merger.
