Did you know that the only two countries that allow direct to consumer advertising of pharmaceutical drugs are New Zealand and the United States? What does that mean to you?
To me, it means these drug companies are brain washing us into believing they have effective treatments/cures for certain conditions, but in reality they are creating side effects that require additional medication. This feeds profits of billions of dollars annually into the pockets of these drug companies.
Why does the FDA allow such advertising? Why do they not spend money to educate people about the benefits of food to treat health issues? Why? Why? Why?
The reason why, is because these pharmaceutical companies make LARGE contributions to the FDA. The amount of drugs that get approved by the FDA are not only alarming, but are harmful to you as well.
It seems that the FDA has forgotten the first half of their administration's name. FOOD! Food is a drug that can cure and treat many conditions. Conditions like: diabetes, depression, joint pain, headaches, GI issues, etc. By eating the right foods, your body has a greater chance of fighting off heart disease and cancer.
Let's tell the FDA that we are fed up with direct to consumer advertising of pharmaceutical drugs by signing the petition to ban them!
